Different Atrs workshop

Here I am sharing my experience of two days art workshop.

During two days 24th/25th-09-2016 I attended very interesting workshop organised by Balvant Parekh Center, Vadodara, and Department of Gujarati M.k.Bhavnagar University. On that two days of workshop I come to know many things about four various arts.
On very first day of workshop Amit Ambalal has came to talk about paintings, Ratilal Kansodariya has talked about am art of sculptures and Rajendra Kumar Singh has discussed about the caves and paintings of Anjanta Caves.

We reached there at 10:45 and I personally very willing to know about how the artists share and presents their experience and information with us. Session has started at 11 with small prayer. After welcoming the guests by books the first session was film screening- "Art Chronicles" which was a documentary film on Amit Ambalal's life which is directed by Jigar Kapadiya and Ronak suparivala. In that documentary Amit sir was telling his journey from childhood to most popular painter. In starting of the film Amit sir has describe "art" by saying that,
"Art is a combination of person's
history of life with inner sense"

He mentioned in his documentary that he was not able to enjoy his childhood as he want to so in many of his childhood paintings he express that feeling very well. There are many of his paintings which is about business class people. One of his painting is called "Anayas Tiger Dada" is very interesting because in that painting playing with his grandchildren and it shows that he was able to leave his childhood through their grandchildren.
Another important symbolism in his painting was monkey and crow for an artist is it was quite easy to express their feelings through paintings but as audience it was really difficult to understand those things and feelings shown Amit Sir has good quality that he also explain his all paintings in very beautiful way we also explain his all paintings very beautifully. He also mentioned that he got a spiritual from "Pichoy" paintings. Mallika Sarabhai quote very beautiful lines for Amit Ambalal,
              "Amit is free spirit."
As Yesha also mentioned in her blog that,
"Only an artist could observe such very
ordinary things in an extraordinary way"
There were so many interesting paintings like,
                          "God of small pains"
                          "Thinker"
                          "Tigers and tulips"
                          "Paan India"
The second session was about various sculptures and the speakers was Ratilal Kansodariya. He has very beautifully described the techniques of making sculptures and tell about how the process of making sculptures is very difficult it takes very hard work and dedication. He described his each sculptures very well and also shared that how it is difficult to carry big sculptures. I noticed very interesting that most of his sculptures is based on village life and expresses the village life very beautifully.
The last session was about Ajanta Caves. Rajendra Kumar Singh was the speaker. He is doing research on Ajanta Caves from last 22 years and he share many photos with us and such are important facts about Caves he also told interesting things about rules and rituals of Buddhism he told that there was 3000 rules in Buddhism which have to followed by those people.

Second day of work shop is supposed to be started at 10:30. The day is started with the feedback of students and our GS Yesha and 1 student of department of Gujarati Riddhi is gave her feedback. I observed interesting thing that day give chance to students to introduce guest after feedback the student of Gujarati department Nehal BA Gohil has introduced the first speaker Raksha Bhatt.
Raksha Bhatt is a photographer and teacher at B M commerce School Bhavnagar. She started her presentation which Aristotle's famous lines,
"The soul never thinks without a picture"

Then she shared with us the history of photography. Her presentation slides was very interesting and she shared with us lots of things about photography. Raksha Bhatt also shared one photo which is about first lithographic photo by Joseph Nipse (1827). Then she shared photo of "Box camera" and give information about that how it was difficult to carry with us to one place to another.
She has also mention some name and photo graphs of well known photographers like Henri Cartier Bresson, Ashwin Mehta whose books of photographs are popular like 'Himalaya', 'The Coasts of India the third was Raghu Rai a renowned photojournalist then Kishore Parekh and lastly she mentioned Jyothibai Bhatt. She mentioned here one line of Henry Bresson about photograph,
    "Wait for a dessive moment"

She also mentioned some quotes of Raghu Rai,
          "Either you capture the Mystery
of things of you reveal the Mystery
          Everything else is just information"
Here we can say that this line is very appropriate for one good photographer. That if you click a photo and there is no mystery in that photograph than has nothing but just and information. After all these she shared her photographs with us and also shared the memories behind that photographs. Most her photographs were of tribal life of Kutch and ghats of Varanasi and Haridwar. And the other thing is that her most photograph is about shamshan Ghat and all the things which is connected with rituals and God.
She mentioned very beautiful lines by Raghu Rai,

"Pick a fact of Life and that will
                        remain forever"
The speech and presentation is ended with the video of her collection of photographs.
