Recently we studied I.A.Richards Figurative Language. Here I am sharing my views on Figurative Language with the example of the movie song of Madaari.
Oye dil ki baatein dil hi jaane,
Ulajh gaye hain taane baane,
Chal ab theke ya fir thaane tu,
These lines are talking about the situation of comman people, that only comman people understand their own situations. These lines are shown clearly satire on politicians. They don't know the situation of comman people.Middle class people suffer a lot and there is no other way for them to protect their selves.

Arre sach sadkon pe nanga naache,
Jhooth ke hain delhi ke khaanche,

These lines are talking about how people of deffirent religious are fighting with eachother. They act like they were together but the reality is that they fight on roads to the name of religion. We can also see that the fake promisses of politicions are unbearable and because of that the comman man are suffer alot.

Ae anpad baith sheekhsha baante,
Dharam dilon mein boye kaante,

Arre janta ke sang wohi jhol hai,
Pichhwade mein wohi poll hai,
Bhumat jhootha naap-tol hai re,
Aani abni dani rani,
In sabne hai milkar thaani,
Bech ke bharat maa khaa jaani re,
These lines are really beautifully describe. Here we can see satire on our Government. Sometimes the uneducated people are on that high post and taught others and they do not know a single method how to teach and they got that high place same is with our Govenment that some people don't know how to handle a single people and they are on that high post and they disturbs comman people and do not even the situation of comman people. Some people blindly believe in superstitous things and they believes in that "Baba" and "Sadhus" but in real those Babas and Sadhus are fake. So because of that fake promisses comman people are suffer and they are like "Dhobi ka Kutta na ghar ka na ghat ka." Here we can see one very beautiful line "In sabne hai milkar thaani Bech ke bharat maa khaa jaani" So these line is about corrupt people who sold their "Matrubhumi" only because of some money.
